Trevor Pettigrove was inducted into the Rotary Club of Pascoe Vale in 1978-1979. He was a well-known local identity and was closely associated with the Coburg City Council as a Councillor. Trevor also served as mayor of the City of Coburg. 

Trevor was married to Audrey and was a plumber by trade. He was a dedicated athlete and was involved in veteran athletics and assisted with the organisation of the Otway Classic distance race.Through their membership of a surf life-saving club on the south-west coast of Victoria, Trevor and his brother regularly crewed a surf rescue boat. 

Among his many roles in the Pascoe Vale Rotary Club Trevor served as bulletin editor and collected money from the club-run Bingo in Reservoir.

Trevor died in 1986. In 1989 the Rotary Club of Pascoe Vale installed a seat in the gardens of the Anglican Church in Pascoe Vale in his memory.

Mr Trevor Pettigrove, candidate for the City of Coburg’s Centre Ward, is making a second attempt to win a seat on the council.

Last year [1972] in the same ward he came within 276 votes of defeating Cr S. Gandolfo, an independent, since endorsed by the Liberal Party to contest the Brunswick West seat at next year’s State Election.

A master plumber, Trevor Pettigrove is married with four children. Trevor lives in Derby Street, Pascoe Vale.
Born and educated locally, he has been a member of the North Coburg Primary School committee for the past 12 years. He is a former member of the Committee of Management of the Plumbers Union. Trevor is a trainer with Coburg Amateur Football Club. His other hobbies include fishing and squash. As a boy he also ran with the Coburg Harriers.
