Basic Car Maintenance Workshop for Youth ages 16-22
Pascoe Vale Rotary Club, in partnership with the Rotary clubs of Moreland and Strathmore, offers a 3.5 hour hands-on workshop aimed at young adults aged 16-22.
The workshops aim to provide participants with basic skills and knowledge to maintain their car, under the guidance of our experienced and friendly instructors. It is a handy resource for young drivers who are on their L or P plates.
What you will learn:
- Safe practices when maintaining your car
- Understanding your manufacturer’s handbook
- Basic engine maintenance- such as checking fluids and topping up
- Basic chassis and exterior maintenance
- Tyre maintenance and changing a tyre
- Safety practices such as what to do if your car breaks down
- Understanding your engine
- … and more!
A parent/guardian is welcome to accompany their young driver at no cost.
We will be adding more dates and booking links soon for the second half of 2026.
Bookings are essential.
What to bring:
– Your car and car manual if available.
– Water and snacks
– Weather appropriate clothing
You can bring your own car to practice on, but if you will be topping up fluids e.g. oil, please supply your own products.
