Winter Solstice Celebration at Sussex Neighbourhood House

Our Rotary Club was delighted to be part of the Sussex Neighbourhood House Winter Solstice Community Connections event, where we hosted a stall featuring painting for kids, as well as information about Rotary and our community projects.

Children were invited to paint for a cause and submit their painting to our Rotary Community Art Exhibition on October 24th.

Inspired by Jude’s 100 Canvases for Little Lives project to raise funds for a NICU bed at the Royal Children’s Hospital, the paintings will all be featured at the art show. The money raised there will support this wonderful initiative.

It was wonderful to see so many local families and community members enjoying the day. Our information stall gave us the opportunity to chat with visitors about what Rotary does and how people can get involved in making a difference in our local community.

A big thank you to Sussex Neighbourhood House for organising such a welcoming event that brought people together to strengthen community connections. We look forward to supporting future community events and continuing to serve our local area.
