RCPV PHF Grant Standfield 2024

ROTARY CLUB of PASCOE VALE inc.
PAUL HARRIS FELLOW RECOGNITION 2024

GRANT STANDFIELD

With the intention of being actively involved in service to the community, Grant Standfield joined the Rotary Club of Pascoe Vale in 2019 listing his vocation as ‘Construction’.

Grant’s leadership and managerial skills were recognised very early on and he was appointed a Director of the Club’s Board of Directors, with the responsibility of Chairperson of the International Service Committee.

Some of the projects conducted by the International Committee under Grant’s leadership included the Umoja Orphanage Kenya, End Trachoma 2000, Timor Wash Project, Water Safety Vietnam, Rotarians Against Malaria, and the WorldToilet Project with President Jack Sim, alias Mr Toilet.

Grant was elected President of the Rotary Club of Pascoe Vale Inc. for the Rotary Year 2021-2022. Always well prepared and well organised, Grant led the Club in an outstanding manner.

In the following year Grant undertook the role of Club Secretary and Club Bulletin Editor. Given Grant’s short period as a Rotarian he has done an outstanding job of both roles – so much so that he has continued in both roles this year.

Grant continues to serve on the Board and has been Immediate Past President, On-to-Conference Chair, and an active member of the Community Service Committee.

Notably, Grant will be one of three incoming Presidents of the Club in the 2024-2025 Rotary Year. A remarkable achievement for someone who has been a Rotarian for a relatively short time.

Besides Grant’s official roles, he has been a regular attendee at fundraising events, working bees, and as a volunteer at the Rotary Inner Melbourne Emergency Relief Network in Brunswick.

A Paul Harris Fellow is someone who contributes US$1000 or has that amount contributed in his or her name. The Rotary Club of Pascoe Vale Inc. has great pleasure in recognising Rotarian Grant Standfield as a Paul Harris Fellow.
