Rained out at this year's Fawkner Festa!

We were all set for this year’s Fawkner Festa: the BBQ fired up, marquee ready, and smiles all around. We had our sausages sizzling, our stall looking sharp, and our team ready to meet the community…

And then came the famous Melbourne weather.

What started as a few harmless clouds quickly turned into wind, rain, and a mad scramble to save the pamphlets! After just an hour, Mother Nature (and the events stafff) decided it was time for an early pack-up.

Even though our Festa fun was cut short, we still managed to share a few laughs, serve a few sausages, and fly the Rotary flag even if it was flapping around in the storm!

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by before the rain came down, and to our soggy but smiling volunteers. There’s always next time and hopefully, a bit more sunshine!
