At the start his year as President, Peter Wilson asked me to look at the feasibility of forming another Probus Club. I thereupon took advice from the Pascoe Vale Probus club, and advertised an interest meeting which was held at the Pascoe Vale R.S.L. Club in early July. The initial meeting attracted about thirty people, who were introduced to the object of Probus. Additional names were obtained and invitations were sent out to these people and
further interest meetings were held on the 10 th and 18 th August. Elections for office bearers were held. The following were elected:
President Pauline Taylor
President Elect Audrey Gollege
Secretary Brian Taylor
On October 12 the Probus Club of Pascoe Vale Central was officially handed its Certificate of Accreditation by President Peter Wilson. The Club on this day had 85 paid-up members. President Pauline Taylor was presented the certificate. Unfortunately, Pauline resigned from the Club after a few months due to business reasons. Audrey Goellge was then inducted as President, With President-Elect Arthur Matlock taking her previous position.
I continue to maintain contact with the club in an advisory capacity and assist with guest speakers. The Club is now in a very healthy position with 110 members and a waiting list of interested members.
Meetings are held at the Pascoe Vale R.S.L. Club on the 2 nd Thursday of each calendar month.

Main points discussed:
Joining Fee $10.00, Annual fee: $20.00 to be paid in March each year.
Initial size of club to be limited to 80 – to be reviewed at all annual meetings
Club to be of mixed membership.
Meetings to be held at the Pascoe Vale RSL on the 2 nd Thursday of each month
