Guest speaker: Sara Murdock - 2025 Victorian Pharmacist of the Year

At our recent Rotary Club meeting, we had the privilege of hearing an extraordinary story from our own club member Sara Murdock.

Sara, an award-winning pharmacist, shared her journey with us: a journey that began far from Australia in Iraq, where she was born, and continued here after she arrived as a 13-year-old refugee, fleeing the impacts of war with her family.

Arriving in a new country as a young teenager, facing an unfamiliar language, culture, and education system, Sara’s story demonstrates resilience, determination, and hope. Through hard work and commitment to learning, she went on to build an outstanding career in pharmacy, earning professional recognition and awards for her excellence, leadership, and service to patients and the wider community.

We are incredibly proud to call Sara a member of our Rotary family. Her journey is an inspiration to us all!
