Guest speaker: RYPEN student Clare

Pascoe Vale Rotary Club was pleased to have Clare Matthews as guest speaker this week.

Clare was accompanied by her parents Joe, and Kathleen M.P. for Broadmeadows.

Earlier this year, Clare attended RYPEN (Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment) and was invited to share her insight and experiences with our club. As a Year 11 student, Clare was looking forward to embracing the challenge of joining 30 other young students in an intense program to build leadership skills.

Clare enjoyed a variety of activities that enabled the students to get to know each other. Working together was the key to completing the activities as they built trust and developed friendships. She highlighted the building of communication skills as a big “take-away” from the program, along with lasting friendships.

Clare recommended the RYPEN experience for others and thanked the Rotary club for their support and sponsorship.
