Our club's environment work
Our club is committed to environmental sustainability and actively participates in projects that protect and preserve the natural world. From organising local clean-up events to planting trees and promoting recycling, we work to reduce our environmental footprint and encourage others to do the same.

The Merri Paddle
Our club is excited to join the Merri Paddle Platypus initiative, a community-driven effort aimed at protecting and preserving the Merri Creek and its native wildlife. By participating in this project, we help raise awareness about the importance of keeping our waterways clean and ensuring the survival of local species, such as the iconic platypus.
Through activities like clean-ups, habitat restoration, and educational programs, we’re not only improving the health of the Merri Creek but also fostering a deeper connection between the community and the environment.
It’s a rewarding way for our club to contribute to the conservation of our local ecosystem while engaging with others who share our passion.
Tree planting and plogging
Our club members actively participate in both tree planting and plogging initiatives to improve the environment and promote sustainability.
Through tree planting, we help enhance local green spaces, improve air quality, and contribute to the long-term health of our ecosystem.
Our plogging events—where we combine jogging/walking with litter collection—serve as a fun and effective way to clean up our parks and streets while promoting fitness.
These activities not only beautify our community but also inspire others to take action in protecting the planet.
Parkland and waterway clean ups
Our club members regularly participate in litter pickup events in our community, working to keep our local parks, streets, and public spaces clean and beautiful.
