Barista Basics Workshops

Our club runs Barista Basics workshops designed to give people hands-on experience and practical skills in coffee making. In collaboration with Genovese Coffee in Coburg, these four hour workshops teach participants theory and lots of hands-on coffee making that will give them some experience to apply for a job in a cafe.

The course involves:

  • setting up your workspace
  • calibrating the grinder
  • frothing the milk
  • keeping your workspace and machine clean

tasting and making different coffees

Participants also receive a Barista Basics participation certificate for their CV.

Held at Genovese Coffee, the workshops are led by expert Simon James, who guides the participants through the fundamentals. The attendees have get behind the machine, practice techniques, and ask questions.
