About our Club
The Pascoe Vale Rotary Club, established in 1976, is a proud member of Rotary International, a global network of people committed to making a positive impact.
Our club brings together individuals from all walks of life to address pressing local and global challenges through service and fellowship.
Guided by Rotary’s motto, Service Above Self, we are dedicated to improving lives by providing sustainable solutions to the needs of our community.
How we look after our members
Connection & Fellowship
Our club creates opportunities for members to build relationships through regular meetings, social events, and service activities, helping to foster a sense of community and support.
Personal Growth
Members are encouraged to take on leadership roles within the club and beyond. This helps develop skills in public speaking, project management, team building, and strategic thinking.
Purpose-Driven Service
Rotary gives members the chance to make a real impact, both locally and globally. By working on service projects, members align their time and talent with causes that matter to them.
Learning & Inspiration
We regularly host guest speakers and vocational visits that expose members to new ideas, pressing issues, and innovations in community service and leadership.
Support in Times of Need
Looking out for each other is a priority. As a club, we offer understanding and support during challenging times, creating a safety net of trusted peers.
Vocational visits
A vocational visit in Rotary is when club members visit a business, workplace, or organisation, to learn about that vocation or industry firsthand.
Our club enjoys regular vocational visits, often coupled with lunch or dinner. Members are encouraged to suggest and arrange visits. We’ve visited the Fawkner SES, the Victoria Police Air Wing, Rotary Donations in Kind and more.
Vocational visits also allow our members to learn more about our local communities and the many small businesses, charities and social enterprises on our doorstep.
Social outings and events
Our club organises social events for members to strengthen the bonds of fellowship, which is a core value of Rotary. Really though, we just enjoy each other’s company and like to have a good time!
These gatherings provide an opportunity for members to connect on a personal level outside of meetings. Social events also help to create a welcoming environment for new members, encourage engagement, and enhance the overall club experience.
We’ve enjoyed barbecues and meals at restaurants, played croquet and bowls, plogging (picking up litter while walking), going for a meal after a service event, and more.
