A Peace Pole for St Oliver Plunkett Primary School
On November 5th, President Peter Wilson, and fellow Pascoe Vale Rotarians Anthony Cianflone MP, Bruno and Deborah D’Aprano attended a special Peace Pole ceremony at St Oliver Plunkett Primary School.
The school community came together to acknowledge their commitment to Peace and Reconciliation in honour of their Patron Saint.
This ceremony recognised 400 years since the birth of St Oliver Plunkett and 50 years since his canonisation.
Rotarian Anthony Cianflone MP shared the history of the Peace Pole and Pascoe Vale Rotary’s commitment to spreading the message, “May Peace Prevail on Earth”.
In recognition of 50 years of community and global service, Pascoe Vale Rotary has a plan to plant 50 Peace Poles in schools and local community spaces.
Together we can raise awareness and spread the universal message that can bring us together in peace and harmony.
